Hume also talks about cause and effect. He says that it is sometimes okay to assume effects from a cause that someone has concluded from observing effects. He also says that reasoned assumptions are made from observing species of causes and species of effect. I think this is accurate and agree with it because you can definitely assume an effect from the cause. Even though our assumptions aren't always right I still think you can make the assumption from the cause.

i kind of got from this that hume said you might be able to predict an event basied on what has happened but he also says that there is no real way of proving it will happen before it does. it is against the laws of nature to know something is going to happen before it happens.
Oh okay. I get it. It makes sense that you can predict an event based on what has happened and i agree with you that there is no way to prove it will happen before it does. I think Hume was saying that too and i think thats why he went into assumptions because you can assume something but that doesnt mean it will happen. And you can't prove it until it has happened.
